
Today we talked about what it must have been like to be Mary, the mother of Jesus as He went to the cross!
Mary in Scripture:
Luke 1:26-38: The Annunciation, where the angel Gabriel tells Mary she will conceive and bear the Son of God.
Luke 1:42: Elizabeth's greeting to Mary: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!"
Luke 1:46-55: Mary's Magnificat, a hymn of praise and thanksgiving.
Luke 1:34-38: Mary's willingness to accept God's will: "I am the Lord's servant; may your word to me be fulfilled".
John 19:25-26: Jesus's words to his mother and the disciple he loved: "Woman, here is your son," and to the disciple, "Here is your mother".
Matthew 1:20-23: The angel's message to Joseph, explaining Mary's conception through the Holy Spirit.
