HOLY WEEK - The Sufferings of Jesus on the Way to the Resurrection

Today we talked about how Jesus suffered on His way to Golgotha Hill. We also talked about how nature changed because of this event as well.

She encouraged us in how much Jesus really suffered and was despised for us. She read this in Isaiah.  He was crushed for our iniquities. By His stripes we are healed!  He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. He did not open His mouth in the suffering.

To us, serve the Lord with trembling. Blessed are all those who take refuge in Him!

Persecution is a reality. Those that honor Christ will face persecution. We are to glory in the persecution. Great is our reward in Heaven.  We are to respond to persecution with love.  Be the example of Jesus.

Read Ps. 112 - The generation of the upright shall be blessed. His righteousness endures forever. God is gracious and shows favor.

She read John 17.  Jesus is talking to God about His experience on Earth and interceding for us before He left the Earth.

Jesus gave power to His disciples to cast out demons and do better than He did!  Jesus encouraged them to trust in Him when the time comes to speak when they are persecuted. He talks to them about persecution.
