Today we read 2 Kings and discovered some great facts:
The king sought help from a demon versus God and this angered God.
God confirmed to him 3 times that he would die due to doing this. The final confirmation came from Elijah himself. The King died right there.
Then when Elijah was leaving, God confirmed it through many prophets to Elisha that his master was leaving him.
Elijah left and released his mantle to Elisha - a double portion!
In this study, we see how Elisha served Elijah and was blessed. In the end, Elijah asked him how he could bless him before he went to heaven. Elisha asked for a double portion! He got it! Then he cried over missing his friend! We also learned how God will confirm His word!
