Prayer & Supplication - Weapons of the Day

Pastor talks about the Armor of God and how we must have faith in our Redeemer that He will protect us.  There is another piece of armor that's called a lance - or a spear - it's a long weapon that gave Roman soldiers to strike their enemies from a long distance. In verse 18 Paul writes, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit...".  Our prayer is a weapon!  With the lance of prayer we are able to assault the enemy from a distance! There's a lance of prayer that is a weapon!

Praying always - praying without ceasing - with all prayer and supplications - in the spirit and watching for all saints. Always/all.  It's a spirit of reverence and devotion to a higher power. To plead humbly. We must come to our Heavenly Father and plead our case humbly.

In Luke, Jesus teaches us how to pray.  We do not wrestle with flesh and blood, but with the wickedness in high places. This is spiritual.  Rejoicing is a weapon of our warfare!  Praise is a weapon!

In prayer cast all your cares upon God. This is a supplication prayer.

Prayer is a time of genuine thoughts and conversation with your God. We are to trust in His sovreignty and wisdom. Growing and trusting as we see Him answer our prayers. This is our testimony.  We can experience His love and provision first hand.

We must stand on the grace of the Lord. Be not deceived. Be careful.  No man is going to save this world!  Is our confidence in the Lord God Almighty today? Or is it in a system that is being reset right now? No, our confidence has to be in our Lord God Almighty!

We are troubled on every side, but we are not perplexed - we are not in despair. We are persecuted but not forsaken! We consider eternity. We are only here but for a short season! We must stand on God's word.
